SUMMER CAMP AT ST. CRISPIN’S
St. Crispin’s has long been a site for the development of personal and …social identities and skills, as well as a space for…. “safe socialization” that is free of fear of stigma while promoting self-expression. As such, St. Crispin’s is an inclusive and affirming camp. We welcome campers and staff of all of races, religions, gender identities and expressions, and orientations.
AMY JUDIN BEST SCHOLARSHIP
Amy Best led the youth program for St. Patrick’s for nine years. Amy had a unique ability to coach young men and women, not only in how to live upright honorable lives, but also through her role as a de facto “Mom” to many youth whose parents are not involved in the Church. Amy took groups on yearly mission trips to diverse places such as New York, Mississippi, South Texas, and Minnesota. She organized and chaperoned hundreds of youth meetings, participated in Diocesan offerings, and was a loving support to hundreds of teenagers over her tenure as youth leader. Her gift of constancy is unparalleled, as is her commitment to teaching about Jesus and modeling an accepting spirituality. When contemplating how best to honor and recognize her ministry, we decided to offer a yearly scholarship of $500 in her name to the graduating senior who has been active in youth group or as an acolyte and plans to continue her/his education.
